Private lessons

Private lessons

For 1 or 2 riders, 30, 45 or 60 minutes

Book a private lesson

We offer lessons for all ages, from 5 years old through to adults. Please enquire directly for riders younger than 7 years old.

Private lessons are for 1 or 2 riders maximum and can last for 30 minutes, 45 minutes or 1 hour. They are a great way to improve your riding quickly, and a great way for beginners to improve their skills before joining a group lesson.

We are open Tuesday to Saturday and offer private lessons on weekday mornings and after school (subject to availability).

Please enquire to talk to us about your riding preferences. We will always try to work with you to find the right lesson at the right time. Gold Coast Equestrian Centre follows the Queensland public school term.

Private lessons during peak hours (after 4pm or weekends) are offered only to beginners progressing towards group lessons, or riders on a lease or agistment package. When enrolling as a beginner, we recommend private lessons of at least 45 minutes or one hour, to learn the horsemanship needed to tack your own horse before joining group lessons.

What to wear when you visit GCEC

Please wear long pants and boots every time you are onsite at GCEC. Even if you are not riding, please wear closed-in shoes. For your trail ride or trial lesson, if you don't have boots, sneakers or similar closed shoes will do, and helmets are provided by the school if you are riding.

Plan to arrive 15 minutes before your lesson or appointment, and 30 minutes before a group trail ride.

Please note that bookings are non-refundable and we do not offer rescheduling. There are no cancellations due to bad weather, as we have an undercover arena.
