Our horses

Most of our horses and ponies were bred, raised and trained here at Clagiraba, and many of them are Connemaras: kind, clever ponies that suit a first lesson as well as a jumping round. From Gentille and Garçon, our smallest Dartmoors for riders aged six to eight, to Fleur at 17 hands, there is a horse for every size and level.

Our coaches choose the horse for each lesson, matching the rider's height, weight and experience. Riders who join as members get to know their horses, and proficient members prepare their own horse before a lesson.
